Update: Action targeting mayor is rejected

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported that the allegations brought forward by former panelist Mark Ades against Mayor Joseph Rocha
...didn't meet the requirements for further review.

"It was rejected because it didn't allege a crime had been committed during the course and scope of official duties," Demerjian said. "It didn't involve official corruption."

Further...
Demerjian added that he referred Ades to "the local police if he felt a crime had occurred."

Azusa police Lt. Paul Dennis said to his knowledge, Ades has not filed a complaint with the department.

Mr. Rocha's response...
Rocha said he was "ready to move forward" but otherwise declined to comment Thursday. Arturo Santana Jr., his attorney, said he was not surprised.

"We expected it all along, because there's nothing there," he said.
