This past week has been a long one. On Tuesday, the Labor Rep. and I visited a couple of school sites. At one site I know we have a lot of work to do to pull that school together. There were a couple of things that we need to work on. One issue was a vacation issue that we were successful in stopping the district from forcing an employee to take vacation when they felt she needed to take it.
One the political front, Arnold backed off the initiative that would have cut death and disability benefits for fire fighters and police officers. Now we need to keep the pressure up to stop the costly special election (over $50 million).
