Well it seems that Arnold truly believes in the democratic process. When the board that oversees the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) voted to take a position against his proposed privatizing of the system and the push to have district's eat the 2% that the state has been contributing to the system, he responded not by adjusting his thinking, but by removing the four members that he appointed to the board.
I guess if that is one more group to add to his definition of a specal interest, appointees who have a mind of their own.
